Pros
- I played that not too long after it was released. I remember really enjoying it. It was reminiscent of the point-and-click adventure games that were some of my early gaming experiences.
- Ever since I was a kid I've been really into video games like Ace Attorney, Umineko, Ghost Trick, and Zero Escape which generally fit the above criteria
- Another visual novel, this time about a murder mystery. The trick? You are the spirit of the victim and must find out what happened before the sun rises again. The story and characters are all full of color. As soon as I thought I knew t...
- I played it seven years ago on a almost-dead DS and loved it to bits.
- Ghost Trick is one of my favourite games ever. Even still, the last 3rd of the game, I couldn't care less about the game. I was *clamoring* for the next reveal.
Cons
- Parent context: I can't speak for anyone else in here, but none of Ghost Trick's puzzles are difficult and *that's part of the problem*. Reply: No its not. Puzzles suit different people and different ages.
- The puzzles got annoying pretty fast, unfortunately. Something about the combination of adventure game logic with timed segments you'd have to redo a bunch of times was getting frustrating.
- I thought the gameplay was an interesting premise that just never gets to the level of complexity needed for engaging puzzles. Otherwise, the story is brilliantly ridiculous.
- the gameplay segments can be fun, but they get pretty same-y and by the time Chapter 14 (of 18) rolled around, I was so invested in the story that the gameplay segments almost felt more like a barrier than a supplement.
