  • Read Gentleman Bastards by Scott Lynch, its the best.
  • Seconded. It is ‘complete’ and will draw you in within the first few pages, if not sentences. Plus there’s like ten books in this world so it can keep you busy for a little while.

  • Now I love Joe Abercrombie and Scott Lynch, and in terms of tone/style I think they're leaning in the right direction, but both the *First Law* and *Gentleman Bastards* are aiming for something grander, more epic, and more action-focused.
  • Undid buy Impyrium but never got around reading it after he said he won’t finish it since I can’t get my heart broken like this again after name of the wind and gentleman bastards.
  • Gentleman Bastards but fuck it Im going to start with Locke Lamora now.
