Pros

  • I used one for quite a while before upgrading to a 965, and to be honest, 90% of all that really matters to me for road running I already had with the 55.
  • Sounds like the cheaper 965 will be fine for you.
  • Fr 970 not worth for that price. 965 all the way. Plus it looks better.
  • 965 is fantastic, you can go with 955, mip, very similar watch.
  • Use my Forerunner 965 for all the exercises, they sync all the metrics perfect.

Cons

  • Parent context: Congrats! I also shelled out $600 on this thing and was shocked at how bad the packaging was. I wondered if I got a counterfeit at first.... fortunately the watch itself is every bit as premium as the price. Reply: The...
  • Yeah I bought mine spring 2024 and it’s frustrating seeing features that my watch could clearly support not being rolled out. That said I was happy enough with the features when I bought it and it still works as expected.
  • I was really impressed the first time I used it and it was spot on. Second time and onwards from then I've realised it actually has no clue and just got lucky the first time!! lol
  • the 965 isnt worth slightly bigger screen same chips uf u want an upgrade then the 970
  • Parent context: I know some high numbers I saw ~5years ago during running (peak at 208), but since then I rarely do the kind of excercise that get my HR close to the max. Today my fr965 adjusted my estimated max to 181, which I think is...

Reply: The day that every manufacturer will ditch those huge, expensive, "luxury" packages and offer a utilitarian ones for their products will be a better day for the planet.

I wouldn't get a 570 , it is in every way inferior to a 955 (around £330) or 965 ( around £450 ) which you can still get. O.K. Doesn't mean it isn't a decent watch but the 955/ 965 have much better battery life and features.
