Garmin Edge 540

Pros

• The Edge 540 is the only one of those that supports ClimbPro without loading a route AFAIK, so if that's important to you, there's your decision
• 540 is much better than 530. Better CPU, better display. For me, 540 has one important metric that justifies the price: live stamina.
• I think you could save some money and get a 540 instead of the 840 to save you a few bucks but you would miss out on the touch screen on the 840 otherwise i believe they are the same.
• I'm running an Edge 540 and have had no qualms with functionality or performance.
• USB C makes the 540 worth it alone, especially in 2025
