Imo the Galapagos is best done on a cruise. They take you to so many gorgeous snorkeling and bird watching locations with minimal human presence.

I found Isabella Island on Galapagos to be really great. Snorkeling at Los tunels, seeing giant tortoises walking along the road heading out of town, super safe, good food, and for whatever reason they put popcorn in the soup and it's surprisingly good.

Best snorkelling I ever did was in the Galapagos but it’s a journey from Europe as well. It’s so unique because it’s so protected, the humans are strictly not allowed to feed or interact with the animals so literally there is no fear or begging for food or anything like that. The animals are simply curious and friendly. It’s crazy. And so safe.
