Pros

  • No issue’s performance wise. Lack of players from same region is disappointing but hopefully it’s only cause people are playing through the campaign first like me.
  • No lag, good framerate - it’s as good as I remember, happy to serve the Panopticon! This was a Sony original on VITA (an ARM architecture) and might have used some low-level tricks, that translated well to another ARM platform...
  • It’s running well on Switch so far, and reviews I saw online didn’t mention any issues like what they’re saying on Steam. I just loved it on Vita and I am getting those feels again playing it handheld on my OLED.
  • I’ve been playing it on Steam Deck for hours now and it’s been running almost perfectly.
  • Honestly a solid score for the solo campaign, most of the fun IMO is around the live co-op experience, which will definitely enhance the playability

Cons

  • I know someone who’s been playing on PC and it’s been a fine experience for them other than some minor frame drops, so it’s not an issue everyone’s been having, even on PC.
  • they lost a LOT of customers by releasing a PC version that doesn't work. let's see: * fullscreen is broken for many people, need to use windowed mode or else the game randomly crashes * framerate is abysmal at time...
  • The steam forum and reviews were a nightmare when I looked into it.
  • The game is solod, they reduced points for it being a lazy port. The developers could have improved visuals, made it run 50 fps. But all theg did was update the resolution and be done. It is still a solid game but not worth getting on Sw...
  • I loved this on my Vita! Like the reviewer though, I was hoping the switch would be a bigger upgrade than it is.

That is my dilettante’s opinion why the Switch version is great but other ports are struggling

they lost a LOT of customers by releasing a PC version that doesn't work. let's see: * fullscreen is broken for many people, need to use windowed mode or else the game randomly crashes * framerate is abysmal at time, i've seen reports it goes as low as 9fps in the character creation screen * in gameplay, forget about 60fps, apparently it's all over the place * people are mentioning AI voice acting as an issue It's 2025. if you release a PC version certain things need to work. in this case not even the basics work. This is the type of game i encourage people avoid because it simply doesn't deserve money.

Great monster hunter type game, with a great dystopian soundscape. Day fucking one buy. So it runs at 30fps..... so it runs at 720p in handheld. Those 2 things alone are a heap of improvement over how it looked and ran on vita.
