Pros

• Parent context: Not in terms of vulnerabilities. Fortinet is holding that shit down. Reply: I’ll take them reporting them transparently than brushing it off or not having the capabilities of finding exploits
• Cisco, Fortinet and Aruba switches will all support QoS in some form.
• Start looking for a new vendor or plan to replace with less expensive non-Cisco, like Fortinet.

Cons

• Because sonic wall and Fortinet constantly have breeches
• I both own (and hate) firewalls from both brands. If I were forced to choose one though it’d be Fortinet.
• Most company VPN, be it Fortinet, Cisco Anywhere, F5, people would like to set everything to be routed through the VPN gateway.
• Larger clients end up with sonicwalls, fortigates, and for switches it can be their pick of cisco, fortinet, aruba, etc.
• The price of better non-chinese-brand network stack is too high. Fortinet, Aruba, Cisco, ….
