Completely agree with this review. We stayed at Forestis as part of a longer Dolemites summer trip and found it to be a truly exceptional property worth the trip.
I have to say Forestis really lives up to the hype and delivered one of my favorite stays of the year. If you have a week to 10 days in the Dolomites, I would highly recommend combining this with somewhere that has easier and more varied access to outdoor activities

No. You’re not getting upgraded from a tower to Forestis 99.9% of the time. As these hotels become more and more popular, last minute bookings to these large units happen more and more. Also these are just tiny hotels with not that many rooms to fill.
If I know I want a Tower Suite at Forestis for example, the only room above that is a Penthouse suite. Would I book a lower level room with a TA and hope (or expect?) a room upgrade to the Tower Suite from TA perks? Or do you still book the room you know you want and accept in some cases there will be no room upgrade perk

the hotel itself has so-so food but a really cool spa and other stuff to do as well
