Focal Radiance

Pros
- Focal Radiance... Bass go boom but a crispy boom.
- Not heard the Elegia, but the Radiance is the only closed back one could ever need/want. It's worth trying to find one on the used market. It has a warm leaning signature which just sounds lush yet detailed. The bass is incredibly textur...
- Conversely, maybe you're (like me) looking for warmth and bass-emphasis, so sets like the Focal Radiance or ZMF Bokeh Closed is more appealing than the Utopia or Caldera.
- I also have a strong preference for bass emphasis in my casual sets (think Focal Radiance, Bokeh Closed, Apos Caspian, MDR-Z1R, Meze Strada and Liric II, TH900MK2, etc.).
- If you are planning on using them wired, a used Radiance is still probably the way to go. They are very pretty.
Cons
- I thought that the Radiance could be pretty much that [adding fun], but now I'm really not that sure and I don't want to pay like 600+ for used cans just to sell them again.

Not heard the Elegia, but the Radiance is the only closed back one could ever need/want. It's worth trying to find one on the used market. It has a warm leaning signature which just sounds lush yet detailed. The bass is incredibly textured and meaty.

The Radiance were significantly better than the Elegias. Polar opposites IMO. I liked the Radiance probably the most of any Focals I’ve owned (Elegia, Stellia, Clear Pro, Radiance 2x, Bathys, Bathys MG).
The build quality is clearly luxury compared to the very cheap Elegia. 3/10 vs 10/10.
The Radiance had a very pleasant tuning. I added more bass, and they took it like a champ (they have a port under the logo that probably helped with that).
