Focal Hadenys. They’re on the warmer side of neutral. They have the bass response that you’ll want for the genres that you’re interested in listening to.
The build quality is quite nice despite being mostly plastic they don't feel cheap at all, they are fairly light and comfortable... The earcups are kinda small though, my ears were touching the inside of the pads... Where things aren't that good is the upper-mids and highs here everything sounds kinda dull and muted... The soundstage is small, actually feels even smaller than that of hd 600... those are kind of a hd600 with batter bass but worse everything.
In wired open type (preferred if you can do with sound leaking and no isolation), look into headphones such as... Hifiman Sundara or Focal Elex, Hadenys or Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro... to name a few well balanced open back wired headphones.
Those are a little utilitarian, so if you want an upgrade from there, I would look into the Aune AR5000 or the Focal Hadenys. The AR5000 is towards the top end of your budget new, and the Focal Hadenys would be a great deal for $350 if you could find one secondhand.
Other options would be the Focal Hadenys, Meze 109 Pro (they go for a lot cheaper secondhand)

As for the Hadenys, it's probably my favorite headphone to actually wear. It's lighter, extremely comfortable, and the driver performance and bass are top tier. ... However, the Hadenys has a noticeably narrower soundstage and its technical performance feels slightly more recessed compared to the other two.
I’ve had the Focal Hadenys for more than a year, it was the best headphone I ever heard, until I got the opportunity to demo the Clear MG... The Hadenys weighs less and has more comfortable pads. But I had some issues with the Hadenys, such as the aftermarket pads that never fit snug in the earcup mechanism, nor sound the same as the original, and how hard it is to receive the original pads where I live. Also being unable to plug the Hadenys into a balanced port on my K11.
I’ve been using the Focal Hadenys for about 8 months now. Around the third month of use, the glue on the ear pads started to melt. Earlier this month, the pad cloth began seriously sliding out of the plastic holder. I honestly hate the ear pad mechanism Focal went with.
