They are not that hard to replace, I've seen a couple of guides on how to do so but the fact still stands that it's not a sturdy headphone by any means
If the vocals are an issue to you, then I'd advise to look towards a focal elex which mantain the vocal clarity, improves in soundstage and imaging, fast lean bass that doesn't overextend its welcome, it is a bit softer on the treble compared to the meze 105.
Anyone or anything that calls the Elex's bass punchy is not to be trusted

In wired open type (preferred if you can do with sound leaking and no isolation), look into headphones such as... Hifiman Sundara or Focal Elex, Hadenys or Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro... to name a few well balanced open back wired headphones.
Every time I try to “upgrade” from them, ie: Elex, 109 Pro, edition XS, Arya Stealth, ZMF Atticus. I always get an immediate rush of regret. This other HP’s sound great but they are not worth THAT much more than the 6XX to me, so I end up selling them and sticking with the 6XX.
Right now, I’m considering getting the Focal Elear, Focal Elex, or Sennheiser HD 490 PRO.
Fiio FT1 Pro doesn't take kindly to a bass boost for example, neither do the Focal Clear or the Elex. It's not that you can't boost the bass, you just reduce the playback volume limits by doing so, because it reduces the volume threshold for driver clipping.
Had the Elex for many years, and though I listen to a wide range of music, I primarily listen to heavier genres.
