It is warm in the winter and easy to drive to for many. I can think of many better but harder to reach destinations.
The easiest warm option from where you are will be somewhere along the gulf so consider Florida, Texas, Louisiana, etc.
Hotel, entertainment and food costs are higher especially in the tourist areas of the states than in most of europe.
