Final Girl

Pros

• Here's some of my favorites games to assist in recs *Solo games* Final girl
• I’m getting Final Girl for solo play this Christmas
• I think the mechanics are pretty strong. There is an element of luck, what with dice and random card draws, but dice mitigation is a big part of the game, and there's plenty of strategy involved.
• The system is so well designed though and that’s what keeps me coming back. Has all the horror movie tropes but no knowledge of horror movies is required.
• “Final Girl” is my number one favorite solo game. ... Tons of replay ability, loads of fun. ... Great system, great theme, strongly recommend.

Cons

• Another one I've heard great things about is **Final Girl**, where you play as the titular "final girl" trying to survive a serial killer a là a slasher film. It's only single-player, and it looks pretty pricey, so take that with a grain...
• I see it reccomended everywhere as a must have solo game, but it sounds to me like it's main appeal is the story aspect, not the mechanics.
• final girl certainly loses much of the appeal if you're not into horror movies. the mechanics are solid, but it's a game that shines through integration of mechanics into its theme, not by mechanics alone.
• my likes: great looking game visually, and very thematic. my dislike: setup feels a bit much for some reason.. also it may need several of the "feature films (expansions)" to really increase replayability
