- it's why I purchased the k9 , I had the Topping dx9 discrete on order for 2 months but (HiFiGo is the company) with zero communication , I mean none , i cancelled the order & got the k9.
- The Amp on the k9 absolute gets louder , painfully so
- i use the k9 being fed optically from an RME HDSPe AIO Pro sound card with dual AK4499 chips (think this is bypassed as its optical , unsure) to feed my Focal CMS50s & the Audeze MX4s & create music.
- in short , prefer the k9 , I've been sporadically interchanging between headphones & The PreAmps
- K9 Pro ESS was my first desktop headphone amplifier! Great device :)

Reviewers once said the K9 was milky on top, in terms of smoothness. That's all I needed to know it was good.
