Pros

  • If you live in the Netherlands I'd swap you my fiio e10k. That even has a bass boost switch
  • Years ago when I had my previous PC I had Beyers 990 and Fiio E10K and I loved that combo.
  • I've been rocking my Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee, along side a FiiO e10k amp, for around 7 years and I absolutely love them.
  • So far im looking at both the fiiO E10K and the sound blasterX g6 dac as the reviews online seem mostly positive.
  • If not, you might be better off with a FiiO E10k or something.

Cons

  • E10K was measured to output around 2.3-2.4Vrms of open voltage, which is what you will be getting with 250Ohm headphone. So that is fairly close, should be enough for most, however the person who made measurements also noted that the E10...
  • Source/Amp - FiiO E10K, willing to upgrade, please give advice on this also.
  • Currently using a FiiO E10K, but it seems like the knob is failing, makes a hissing sound, and crackling when turning the knob.
  • I also have a fiio e10k amp dac and will upgrade at some point.

What redditors said (10 of 10)

E10K was measured to output around 2.3-2.4Vrms of open voltage, which is what you will be getting with 250Ohm headphone. So that is fairly close, should be enough for most, however the person who made measurements also noted that the E10K started osculating when maxed out, so for a person who listens at extreme loud levels this might not be enough. Also E10K is a bit obsolete when it comes to output clarity, its Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) is at -80dB

Maybe a Schiit Magni or FiiO E10k as budget option. Both are DAC+Amp combos.
