Pros

  • The Simpsons, Family Guy or American Dad are really easy to understand.
  • Currently watching family guy for time pass 😅
  • i love things like Family Guy and Always sunny.
  • Loved it & rewatched several times: ... Family Guy

Cons

  • You watch Family Guy and American Dad and South Park and any of a hundred post-Golden Era Simpsons animated shows, and then you watch Bob's Burgers, and you can see what makes Bob's Burgers special.
  • Parent context: Family guy absolutely was hilarious for years, but I think it was a totally fair criticism that the show leaned too heavily on cutaway gags to be funny rather than have enough relevant jokes to the plot of the episodes, a...
  • family guy was fucking hilarious at times especially when it first came out
  • Family Guy, yeah it's been on consistently, albeit with a bumpier release schedule than usual. Actually, it doesn't really deserve to be on this list, but it's most recent season has only just ended so it feels fair to include.
  • Robot Chicken is just as bad as family guy. Entire humor is referencing a known movie, tv show, or cartoon and the punchline is making it adult. Nothing clever or smart with it. Practically just an adlib.

Parent context: Family guy absolutely was hilarious for years, but I think it was a totally fair criticism that the show leaned too heavily on cutaway gags to be funny rather than have enough relevant jokes to the plot of the episodes, and even back then there were episodes that just tried to fill time, like all the Conway Twitty videos they let play all the way through. Reply: Family Guy was always a sketch comedy inside of a sitcom. I never got the hatred for the cutaways. It was their bit from the beginning, and like *all* sketch comedy, has a bunch of hit or miss jokes.

actively dislike shows like Family Guy and Game Of Thrones etc because of stuff like bad language and crude humour.
