Fallout 4

Pros
- I want another isometric Fallout game with the narrative flexibility of the classic Fallout, but with Fallout 4's gathering and base-building.
- That reminds me in Fallout 4 (not really a stealth game) where you'll see the Raider burying his friend, sneaking up, you'll hear the raider reminisicing, regretting, wanting to give up as a raider.
- I still think Fallout 4, particularly with the update, when played in Survival mode, is still a vastly more interesting and engaging version of this type of game.
- Fallout 4 - PS5 ⭐️ - (played so much of this over the year, I consider myself done with it.)
- I have a lightly modded run of this in progress too, mostly concentrating on settlement mods that aren't Sim Settlements-related.
Cons
- I think it made some improvements over previous Fallout games but overall Bethesda leaned really hard into what they thought made Skyrim successful and then simplified it further, and turned it into a tedious and repetitive gameplay loop.
- #Friendship ended with Fallout 3 and 4.
- It's the polar opposite to Fallout 4. Comparatively, Fallout 4 is bogged down with clutter (only in respect to this game, there's room for appreciation for both, and that approach absolutely works in the context of Fallout 4's systems)

- The world building of F4 is very poor and the main quest line feels worse than usual even for these sort of games where fans generally admit that the side content is many times more interesting than the "find your dad" or "find your son"...

The world building of F4 is very poor and the main quest line feels worse than usual even for these sort of games where fans generally admit that the side content is many times more interesting than the "find your dad" or "find your son" story. On top of that, the dialogue system had never felt more shallow and meaningless which makes NPCs feel lifeless as well as eroding any meaning behind your choices. On the plus side, the gunplay is improved. The modifications system is fairly neat. And the settlement building options (when modded such as with Sim Settlements) can be satisfying to involve yourself in.
I think fallout 4 is absolutely awful, but I feel that way about all of Bethesda's stuff.
This game is 10 years old, tried and dropped it about 3 times over the years, never getting past first 3 hours. This time I am about 7-8 hours in and I’m asking myself what am I doing here? What’s the point of doing anything in this game? Why am I so bored of this game and why does everything I do feels like a chore? There is no urgency. The gun play is still so glitchy. The missions I have done all seem like fetch questions... And the world looks like shit.
