Evil West

Pros

• Evil West felt like one of those "gamey games" you'd play as a kid. Pure spectacle but in all the best ways.
• Evil West - 8/10 ... I'm not normally one for cowboy games, but I do love cowboy games with aliens, monsters, and vampires, and this is all about busting up the latter, which I love.
• I personally loved this one. Took me back to the 360 era.
• I really enjoyed this one, second half of the game lacked some serious polish but in general it was really fun and a throwback style of gameplay I hadn’t seen in awhile.
• I bought it when it first came out and I really liked it. Was thinking about playing it again soon.

Cons

• Played it with my GF but we stopped after around 75%. The enemies got to repetitive and the level design got worse by the level, there were a lot of places that looked accesable but weren't. We had fun times tho, as you said they needed...
• I wanted to love it, but the story and characters weren't compelling to me, and the gameplay wasn't engaging. I bounced off it, but glad to see folks liked it!
• Parent context: What did you think of the actual mechanics? Reply: The clunkiness I referred to in the post was predominantly about the movement and targeting, so those areas definitely could have used some improvement imo. Melee combat...
• Overall, an enjoyable game if you're into the style I've described and can tolerate a bit of AA jank from time to time. Ultimately I'm giving this one a 7.5/10, but a bit more time in the oven could easily have bumped that up a bit.
