Pros

  • Evergoods cpl24 - makes even the simple rectangle look surprisingly good. Clean, simple aesthetic done exceptionally well that isn’t boring.
  • my cpl24 is my main personal item backpack, and its practically indispensable. the front slash pocket alone is soooo useful and handy. no need to put the backpack down. just swing around and you're in. also, the pocketing is quite gene...
  • just a workhorse of a backpack. comes from a hiking pedigree, but looks every bit slick and formal for most offices. meant to be worn high to feel most comfortable and locked in like a hiking backpack. if he's used to that feel, he'll lo...
  • given the CPL24 measures 18" x 11.5" x 7", I think it should be okay!
  • I use the CPL24 for work meetings/work travel.

Cons

  • Parent context: I have an Evergoods CPL24 as my main pack, but my reason for bringing up the quantity was to explain that this is not an issue with A pack but backpacks in general. Also, that I have many different type of bags and if you...
  • CPL24 is great too, except for the lack of luggage passthrough (dealbreaker for me, but maybe not for you). I’m also not a fan of the side-access laptop compartment, to be honest.
  • Dunked the CPL24 as it is digs into my lower back (torso ard 50cm) though I like it's sleek silhouette. No side pockets for water bottle.
  • I was also considering the Evergoods CPL24 but decided against it because it's a more rigid bag.
  • I wish so much that the CPL24 was self standing. 😭😭😭

my cpl24 is my main personal item backpack, and its practically indispensable. the front slash pocket alone is soooo useful and handy. no need to put the backpack down. just swing around and you're in. also, the pocketing is quite generous thanks to the aforemetioned built in volume.

just a workhorse of a backpack. comes from a hiking pedigree, but looks every bit slick and formal for most offices. meant to be worn high to feel most comfortable and locked in like a hiking backpack. if he's used to that feel, he'll love this backpack.

Parent context: I have an Evergoods CPL24 as my main pack, but my reason for bringing up the quantity was to explain that this is not an issue with A pack but backpacks in general. Also, that I have many different type of bags and if you have a laptop against your back there's no way that back panel is going to flex with your body. No amount of padding is going to make that slab of metal contour your spine. Reply: That backpack literally is a brick, so yeah, it feels like a brick.

Weird as I don't own it myself but I do own their CTB 26 and CPL 24 packs. They are great.

It's a super clean look and a great bag for carry-on, and looks fine in the boardroom. ... There is NO obvious branding or excessive stitching, dangling zippers or flaps or whatnot, which is what I like. Also, the CPL24 has a side carry handle for if you want to "briefcase" it in instead of shoulder it.
