Pros
- I played the demo, which is very lengthy for the record, and adored it. ... I thought the game was incredibly charming and the combat was awesome.
- The combat is definitely fun. Still a game I recommend wholeheartedly. I like to take my time and I was at 40hrs of so by the time I really started to feel like my excitement was slowing down.
- I played the demo and quite liked it, but wasn't sure how it would translate long run. Glad to see it stays entertaining and the great foes are a major part of the fun.
- Parent context: The gameplay is LIT but I found the cutscenes and story and writing to be a total slog Reply: Ah man I had the opposite experience with the plot. It wasn't high art but I really enjoyed the dialogue and characters.
- Yellow Brick Games feels like they're coming out swinging with their debut title, and it didn't take long for Eternal Strands to charm me despite its limitations. ... Physics-driven magical combat with tons of options ... In-depth upgrad...

Parent context: The gameplay is LIT but I found the cutscenes and story and writing to be a total slog Enjoyed my time with it immensely once I started skipping all the dialogue Reply: The writing was very much YA-level. It was tedious listening to the long-winded dialogue and I hope the writers can tone it down a bit for future games.

Parent context: I LOVED IT until indeed the I want to say last third/quarter that I sort of crawled through because I wanted to see the plot to the end, but it felt very much like they had expected one last area and didn't have it and the writers were doing their best making it all work. Reply: I definitely get that; it does stretch against its budget a bit at the end, but I was having fun with my fully completed build just utterly steamrolling even the Great Foes so I didn't mind too much.
