Pros

  • Endeavor Deep Sea: I saw a couple of playthroughs and was captivated by the aesthetic of the game and the exploration mechanisms. I also think that the progression system was fun and that I would enjoy the game.
  • I enjoy Endeavor Deep Sea very much and 4p is the swwet spot i think.
  • Endeavor Deep Sea: just one play and it was really fun. We have been really thinking about how we would play and streamline our play the next time. Love the look and way the board reveals itself as you play. Great fun and theme.
  • Endeavor: Deep Sea is great and really feels like you’re exploring the ocean. It’s a nice blend of engine building and worker placement.
  • I’ve played Endeavour: Deep Sea, Underwater Cities, and Dead Reckoning. I liked the first two.

I think Deep Sea's new art and theme will appeal more to my player group than the old-timey Age of Sail art. It also sounds like the rules have been streamlined, which may make it easier to table.

Another low rules overhead, but it's a fast euro game with a great theme, all about using your tools efficiency. No need to "buy" from a market, everyone gets ONE worker per round.

Endeavor Deep Sea is fantastic. I recently played twice and now am trying to track down a copy. 9/10. It got all the good mechanics from the original Endeavor but replaced the colonisation map full of boring tracks with the cool deep sea exploration tiles and I'm loving it.

On the other hand i really really like Endeavor DS. Ive played it in any setting from 1-5p and all of them were a lot of fun and the other players enjoyed it as well.
