The only book I've ever returned back to audible. I like edgy, But it felt like it was written by a 13 year old boy of Christian parents who gets forced to go church, when all he really wants to do is watch anime.
Still a banger series tho. It’s hot edge lord vampire porn set in an end of the world scenario where the Catholic Church has established anti vampire super soldiers and the half breed warrior assassin goes about trying to not have the end of the world. Bonus points for warrior nun. People take the series way too seriously. It’s a lot better if you read it as a fun half serious book
I was really curious about this one until I heard about how the dialogue was written. Which sound fun in small doses, but an entire trilogy about it sounds exhausting.
My mother... went to read the sample chapter off Amazon and decided after about ~10 pages she didn't care for the original work.

The darkness was so fucking dark it was like a sinner's prayer. The kind of fucking sinner who knows there's no fucking heaven waiting for him at the end of this fucking dark road. A sinner like me. I grimaced at the thought, thinking about how much I hate fucking potatoes.
