Reliability? They don't mind caves or mud and if you simply lube the orings and keep the bezel and switch-ring tight, they can be dunked too. Some folks have taken them swimming... Mine have also survived drops that many would insist that no "toy" would even survive; 8 feet onto concrete

I would maybe look for a multi-emitter light which can use the same emitter lile an Emisar D4v2 (or D4K)... produce significantly more output when you need it.

The d4v2 with 365nm emitters is $60 currently. ... The emisar mules are good but I'm wondering if there's anything equal that might be cheaper.

Emisar d4v2 with Lume X1 driver which goes down to sublumens and ntg emitter(you can choose the cct ). You can buy a optic from them if you want thrower or floodier.

These lights are amazing. I put a ton of hours on them on a daily basis. They've seen lots of drops, abuse, and hazardous liquids. Easily my favorite thing to carry in my pockets every day. Super durable, very bright, compact, and energy efficient.

I never leave the house without a 10mm wrench or my Emisar D4V2.

i’m going to suggest an Emisar D4v2 with 5000 k nichia 519a emitters. It’s efficient, it’s bright, the Emisar colors are beautiful, the UI is enthusiast grade.

The D4V2 is an iconic light that spawned a lot of descendants over the years. ... the D4V2 is smaller, more configurable, and generally better if you are amenable to a bit of learning and dont' mind using an external charger.
