Elf on the Shelf

Because it is creepy. I don’t want my kids thinking it’s ok or normal to have a spy watching you in your home.

I've never done it and I'm a SAHM with enough time to. I think it's weird and creepy.

I can't stand the elf on the shelf nonsense and it will never exist in my house.

We do an elf who does not report to Santa bc that’s creepy AF and I believe kids are inherently good and deserving of gifts unconditionally.

I personally hate the Elf on the Shelf concept and have told all my family that if anyone buys it for my kids it’ll end up getting trashed or donated. It sounds like a headache having to plan something each day of the month and if your kid isn’t even enjoying it then it’s a waste of effort.

The elf has always felt creepy to me too.
