Elektron Model:Samples

Pros

• If you like the idea of adding samples on the fly (and tweaking them with filter, effects, etc.) the Model:Samples will be much easier to use. You can load up a ton of samples (1 GB is A LOT), and browse them within your own folder struc...
• I would try to pick up three used pieces, one after the other: ... * and a sample-based drum machine... Elektron Model:Samples [$130-$180]
• Something like novation circuit or elektron model samples/cycles could be a good complimentary groovebox to add drums and bass.
• an Elektron Model:Samples for versatile drums.
• The Model:Samples is also a good budget alternative if those are too expensive. You can think of these as having 4+ Volcas in one box.

Cons

• Note the Model:Samples has really stiff pads. You can get 3d printed inserts that make them more responsive but by default you need to really smack them to get any sort of higher velocity from them.
