El Nido is one of the main tourist draws, have to fly to the island and then bus 6 hours to get there, but very beautiful. Be really careful without food choices there, a lot of people get food poisoning (specifically in El Nido), lol maybe not a strong sell but it's worth it.

El Nido is cool too, but I absolutely loved staying at Nacpan.
As for El Nido, heck, it’s one of the most spectacular places on Earth, similar in beauty to Railay / Phi Phi islands in Thailand but covering a much larger area with far less visitors.
El Nido is spectacular but will not be an easy commute from Manila since they are moving propeller planes to a different airport (Clark).
Then maybe go to Coron or El Nido in the 2nd leg of your Philippine trip.
For islands, El Nido, Boracay and Siquijor in the Philippines are my must visits.
El Nido is better since the airport is closer to town. The lagoons and limestone cliffs as well as the sandbars of El Nido are amazing but the beach in front of hotels are mediocre at best. You need boat rides to fully enjoy El Nido.
