I liked El Calafate, there’s some cool stuff to do in and around town, but six days seems a lot. You could conceivably use one of those days to go up to El Chaltén, but that’s a good bit of driving and I hear it’s a beautiful area with great hiking, so splitting your time between the two might be something to consider.
