E.H. Taylor Barrel Proof

Pros

• My top shelf (based on my favorites, not strictly by cost or rarity) are Penelope 18, GTS 2025, Frey ranch uncut, Blantons SFTB, Found North Batch 11, Found North Batch 12, Stagg jr, EH Taylor barrel proof.
• I have only tried the Barrel Proof once, but it was great.

Cons

• I just cracked my first barrel proof and don’t love it (yet) going to revisit in a week or 2 because the small batch is also my favorite “base” BT product
• Parent context: I found one of these at MSRP not long ago and being a fan of standard EHT SB I thought this would be incredible. Reply: Instead had similar thoughts to you, particularly the "drinks a little hot for the proof" sentiment.
• I don't get the hype behind this bottle or the price. It's good bourbon, but it isn't earth shatteringly amazing. I think it aslo drinks a little hot for the proof compared to the competition.
• i don’t even worry about the BP - bc it’s literally never priced fairly.
• I was a bit gun shy on the Blanton's as well because last year I bought a EH Taylor barrel proof, and I hated it.
