Some of the populated areas, like Zadar, can be a pain to park in. I can only imagine what Split and Dubrovnik are like.
Dubrovnik has a lot to offer for 5 days, with some doable day trips to Peljesac peninsula or even Montenegro or Hercegovina.
I just have to say, Dubrovnik is definitely worth visiting, even if it is a bit more expensive.
However, if you pick the right resort in Croatia you can catch a short boat ride to Dubrovnik which is definitely worth a visit.
