If you’re into wine, the Douro Valley definitely won’t disappoint. If you have time, you might want to try to squeeze in a boat trip on the river. The views are amazing!

The landscapes with terraced vineyards are beautiful (it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site). River cruises in the area are super popular, and the views are incredible. If you’re into wine, there are sooo many options to choose from too.

If you like wine, go to the Douro Valley. Stay at a Quinta (winery) and take a river boat cruise. We stayed [here](https://www.chanceleiros.com/) and it was totally magical.

Douro Valley is outside of Porto as well as Geres national park. You could also go north of Porto to Spain and check out the Cies islands and surrounding areas.

The Douro Valley is probably the most underrated honeymoon spot in Portugal. It’s wine country, with beautiful landscapes, peaceful hotels, river views, and wine tastings. Perfect for relaxation and romance. Staying 1 or 2 nights there is 100 percent worth it.
