Doctor Sleep

Pros

• Have you read Stephen King's" Doctor Sleep " ? It's all about magical girls, and dark/white magic...give it a try if you haven't already
• One of my favourite parts of Doctor Sleep is when one of the True Knot guys starts bragging about his Fujitsu ScanSnap. It seems like Stephen King put it in there for comedic effect because it’s so ridiculous
• Yup read the sequel, it's good. It definitely has a different vibe than the first but it's good, I liked it (though I'd say the first one trumps doctor sleep, but then the shining is afterall one of his best works)
• Other great King reads are The Shining followed by Doctor Sleep, Mr Mercedes, Misery, and the brilliant Fairy Tale.
• Dr. Sleep is fun, it's nice catching up with Danny.

Cons

• As a warning, I think Doctor Sleep is very much "love it or hate it". Aside from some of the start, I found it largely unimpressive.
• Of the 3, The Long Walk is the best, followed by From a Buick 8 and then Dr. Sleep, which was nowhere near as good as The Shining.
• My only comment is that Doctor Sleep won’t make much sense if you haven’t read The Shining.
