Demon's Souls

Pros

• It's brilliant and so well elaborated. It's miles better than anything in Elden Ring, Sekiro and Demon's Souls.
• Regarding the discussion about difficulty: that was a major part of Demon's Souls, because many people were tired of easy games and action RPGs where you don't die often. It really was a hard game, especially since it was our first time...
• To me, that's a minor issue that gets overshadowed by having the best standalone setting and story, and the second best exploration of the themes in the entire series (after Demon's Souls).
• Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1
• just this week I played Demon’s Souls for the first time and had a blast.

Cons

• Demon’s Souls becomes really easy in the second half
• After bouncing off of Demon's Souls and Nioh, I fell in love with Dark Souls
• I remember playing the original Demon's Souls game back in 2009 thinking wow I hate this and was surprised that over the years it became a huge hit franchise that would define gaming for a generation. Still isn't for me!
• Building yourself a character, who actually could be a good cop is the hidden "easy mode" of the game, like playing a spellcaster in Demon's Souls.
• Arguably Demon's Souls levels are actually harder than the bosses themselves.
