Dead Space Remake

Pros

• The setting is so atmospheric, lots of distant noises that could be the station's ventilation system or a monster. I love the look of the game with your health bar on your back and the plasma cutter is the best weapon in a video game and...
• The Dead Space remake is superb. The original is/was one of my all-time favorite games and the remake not only did it justice, but fixed some things that didn't quite work.
• Dead Space Remake: 8.5 / 10 (Excellent) The first Dead Space had a huge advantage of getting the remake treatment - the graphics looked fantastic, the side quests were solid, and it played smooth throughout.
• Am I crazy for thinking the Dead Space Remake is straight up one of the best games in recent years? It's a joy to play and absolutely dripping with atmosphere.
• The remake is fucking astounding. I loved the original, but got damn. That remake.

Cons

• I enjoyed the remake, but man did it sometimes miss the mark. Isaac went from an overwhelmed but brave everyman to a slick, executive like man who kinda knows that he is the game's main character.
• I did really enjoy the remake, but I just don't think it was a game that needed one. Same as RE4; great remake but I didn't think it was necessary.
• Enormous fan of the original and I didn't like the remake, ended up just dropping it after a few hours. Can't exactly say why, but I just didn't like the feel of it, or the plot/character changes. It was also having a lot of intermittent...
