Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.

Pros

  • CVS has 50% off their prints right now and Walgreens has 30% off. Both apps are easy to use to upload and order prints. Those 2 are the cheapest places I’ve found.
  • There’s a lot of people on short-form video platforms that talk about the deals they get at Walgreens and CVS and I’m always so amazed!!
  • Also note that, at least with CVS, if you transfer a prescription to a new location online, it transfers all the following refills too.
  • CVS is amazing for couponing. You can stack a million coupons and it brings your total down to basically nothing if you time it right.
  • CVS is great for extreme couponing. I can get a lot of items for really, really cheap or free there.

Cons

  • They jack up prices on most stuff but sometimes you can finesse their card for good deals. Definitely not doing all my shopping there but have scored best price or sometimes even free items
  • I always wondered why CVS could offer such great coupons and figured it probably was because their prices were really high. One $10 item on Amazon was $25.99 on CVS website. The second item I searched was $13.99 on Amazon and $30.99 at CVS.
  • CVS is very expensive pharmacy. This is true for both prescriptions and general merchandise.
  • Most importantly, in the first couple of months after switching CVS was literally trying to steal their prescriptions back. Apparently they are able to see prescriptions that are sent to new pharmacy and would fill that prescription in a...

Most importantly, in the first couple of months after switching CVS was literally trying to steal their prescriptions back. Apparently they are able to see prescriptions that are sent to new pharmacy and would fill that prescription in advance in hopes of my parents going back to them

CVS is one of the most expensive places to shop at least in my area. We have very few locations left as they have been shutting down over the years. All the drug stores seem to be pulling out of my area. It seems the business of charging insanely inflated prices on things does not work because if you can drive to CVS here you can drive to Walmart where everything is cheaper.
