Pros

  • I've tried eating more protein first thing in the morning (cottage cheese usually) to see if I can slow that process down.
  • I like adding cottage cheese. When it's not non-fat it almost stretches like mozzarella. But add it just as you finish cooking and don't overheat it for best texture.
  • Cottage cheese in place of sour cream or cream cheese
  • And BLEND it beforehand!!! It basically turns into a low calorie high protein cream sauce, it's amazing. I always have two tubs of cottage cheese in my fridge, one regular and one blended.
  • I use cottage cheese and greek yoghurt wherever I would usually use sour cream. Topping for baked potatoes/tacos/chili/curry/rice bowls.

Cons

  • I've been looking at other options like canned tuna, greek yogurt, cottage cheese - basically anything that's affordable and has decent protein.
  • I’ve tried cottage cheese with fruit and dried edamame beans, didn’t really like either of them.

Cottage cheese is a cheat code. ... Cottage cheese is OP in recipes (not just as a side).
