Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.

Pros

  • If these lights are not going to be used for EDC, then a bunch of Convoy T4 (double AA) or T3/T5 (single aa reflector or TIR) would be better.
  • Pants pocket convoy t5 w/519 emitter takes regular AA or 14500 li-ion battery. Tailswitch easy to find in dark nice floddy beam.
  • Convoy T5 is floody.
  • Convoy T3 / T5 with Nichia 519a 5000K emitters are tail switch lights that cost about $16 each. ... They can also be set up to only turn On 100% and Off, without any brightness modes to cycle through.
  • Convoy t5 or t3 with a warm 519a emitter like 2700k would be my recommendation

Cons

  • I dedomed 2700k nichia 519a in my Convoy T5, and it looks nice. But it is still too bright to be used for a night bathroom trip. Even with AA battery.
  • Convoy T5 or T3 are also small lights but to my eye, the ano isn’t quite as nice as Fireflies or Emisars
  • The T3/T5 are more chunky.
  • Convoys aren't waterproof. T5 has a very diffused beam so its peak beam intensity may actually be dimmer than moonlight on some throwers.
  • The T5 is more floody (not a fan).

Maybe a convoy T5 with the 60° beaded TIR, and lock it in 50% mode. And use eneloops. It's a good light that is bright enough for indoor use.

The Convoy T5 with a 519a 2700k-3000k is beautiful. Just a lovely, soft and legible light.

the T5 is optic based and is the shortest of the three. I recommend the 519a in your choice of CCT for the T3/T5 since they are designed to be more floody.
