Pros

  • I thought a Confluence space would be a good idea.
  • we took all our documentation it generated and we put it all in Confluence. We installed a Workflows plug in to manage versioning. It’s been fantastic for us.
  • Tooling, can go from 2k using a Confluence template and doing a lot in Jira, so no additional license costs.
  • expand use of already excellent use we have of Confluence and Jira.
  • AuditOne has a series on YouTube about building an ISMS system with Jira and Confluence

Cons

  • Do any lightweight tools (besides Confluence + Excel) work for you?
  • Medium does not matter. Can be file share, intranet portal, confluence, SharePoint or any other thing.
  • We use confluence - can't deny that I hate how slow and clunky it can be! On the plus side, it can make things like the SOA easier to generate
  • I just document them in confluence

But if I am completely honest I have seen Confluence working even better.

I did a confluence page that listed all the required activities, what clause (or control) they relate to, and what the triggers are.
