The next day, I had tickets for the Colosseum and Roman Forum. I managed to snag tickets for the attic at the Colosseum and then spent the rest of day walking around the forum and Palatine Hill.
The arena floor was very cool and I think it was worth the €18 we paid, but I wouldn’t spend much more than that if you cant get it on the official site.
i generally like enjoying the vibe of a city- walking round without going into many if the sites. You can always go to youtube and see inside. when i went to Rome it was booked up so didnt go in. - Slightly regretted it
I'd booked a ticket for the colosseum but I missed my time slot for entry and they are VERY strict on entry times for the colosseum as I found out.
After a few visits it is clear to us that hanging outside and staring at the coliseum from the outside is enough.
