Chrono Trigger

Even though I haven't played a JRPG since...I guess Crono Trigger when it released..

It falls way short of Chrono Trigger, any given Final Fantasy, any given SMT or Persona game, the Xeno games, Kingdom Hearts, etc.

But if you compare it to Chrono Trigger (or most other well-known JRPGs honestly) it kinda gets blown out of the water.

Chrono Trigger is an underrated indie Gem.

The only two exceptions have been Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI.

Somehow the battles weren't as enjoyable as FF3 or Chrono Trigger.

Playing through Chrono Trigger for the very first time! Only a couple hours in but having an absolute blast. The only thing I know from before playing is that it involved time travel - I was not at *all* prepared for how incredibly fun the cast of characters is and how grand it actually *feels* playing through this game.

Chrono Trigger is still one of the best games of all time, and a great intro.

CT is Chrono Trigger and BoF III is Breath of Fire III, two of my favorite JRPGs.

Sea of Stars is heavily inspired by classic JRPGs like Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana.
