Pros

  • The best! I literally landed in Tokyo Saturday afternoon and at the station heading to family’s house picked up a bottle of chita for high balls.
  • I’ve got a bottle of Chita in, I prefer to sip that on ice.
  • make yourself a highball with either Toki or Chita (if you can find it) with Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey and ginger ale/ginger beer.
  • Chita: Light but tasty single grain whisky--neat, rocks, highballs all quite good.
  • Fortunately Chita has not yet become as famous, so is still a great deal.

Cons

  • Ever since they increased the MSRP last year to more closely match the prices abroad, Japanese are refusing to buy them. This applies to Yamazaki, Hakushu, Hibiki and Chita bottles.
  • I wouldn't bother with Chita. You can easily find that in the US.

The Chita and Kirin Fuji Sanroku Signature Blend will be well below that, findable, and not easily available in the states.
