- Children of Morta kind of has a Diablo feel to it... It has a story, where you meet a family and all it's members as they try to figure out stuff. It can be played 2 player co op. It's dirt cheap right now for the base edition and the...

Cons

Parent context: I’m interested in this game but the art style just doesn’t do it for me. Did anyone else feel this way but grew to like it? Reply: It grows on you, and the rough around the edges pixel art actually works really well and plays really smoothly in game. Character, ability and enemy sprites are all pretty distinctive, and the boss sprites in particular look really good.
I picked it up, played for a few hours, dropped it for various reasons (partly initial difficulty) then picked it up again and blasted through the rest of the OG run through and NG+ in a few days. Very satisfying, but not a lot of motivation to keep playing.

Fun game that encourages switching characters so you can play them all (also leveling each character gives bonuses to all other characters). I didn't feel like doing NG+ though. Faced a few bugs during my playthrough, i think the most prevalent one was sound got disconnected from gameplay so there was a few seconds delay between them.
Great game! It’s a very “lite” roguelite. There’s a strong meta progression revolving around leveling up different characters and a continuing storyline that develops as you go. I’d liken it to a mix of Diablo and Hades, though it’s not as polished as those two.
A steal, one of the best indie rogue-lites I've played.
Amazing rogue lite, go play it
