- Cherry switches (afaik) have kinda fallen out of favour, or rather, they have been overrated for quite some time anyways.
- Cherry has reached the point where everyone else makes something better than whatever Cherry offers, across the board.
- Cherry survived the mechanical keyboard apocalypse because their design was cheap and fairly reliable, not because it was nice to use.
- The company simply appears to have gone complacent and rested on their patent/reputation for too long.
- not that i wish they would die, there is never an upside to having less choice. but they were not really innovating for quite some time now.
