Charleston and Savannah will be warm in May and are humid year round, but both have great beaches nearby, will be pleasant in the mornings and evenings, and are super walkable with excellent amenities, amazing food, and some of the most beautiful, historic architecture in the country.
Charleston -I find the Georgian architecture and (West African?) basket weaving fascinating. There's still a little bit of the "old world" in Charleston.

The others are great and you'll enjoy yourself with either one. My wife prefers savannah and I prefer charleston
