Pros
- the experience of being The Thing is so well implemented I give it 8.5/10. It's great while it lasts, not sure if I'll revisit it.
- Katana ZERO, Carrion, Blasphemous, Dead Cells, Machinarium, Thimbleweed Park, Cube Escape, This is the Police, Planescape Torment, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale
- I’ve played The Messenger, Carrion, Axiom Verge—all solid games, but they each had flaws and I beat them and haven't gone back.
- A fantastic indie game that doesn't outstay it's welcome. Short and very cheap on sale, everyone should give it a go. Highly recommended
- I found it fairly straightforward and kind of easy. Its strong points are its general atmosphere and the novelty of its concept. Probably never going to touch it again but i enjoyed it. A solid 7/10
Cons
- I played both the game and the expansion; it was definitely a good game overall with some cool mechanics, but it lacked replay value for me

- I really enjoyed what I played but the lack of a map absolutely killed it for me since I was constantly getting lost and finding it so hard to navigate, so I walked away from it.

I tried playing it a second time and I did not enjoy it. I found the level layouts confusing and restrictive, it desperately needed a map, and the combat is pretty sloppy. That said, I did have a blast playing it once. I even went back and got all the secret power-ups (that barely do anything). It has a lot of style and while the combat is kinda bad, it's also a fun power fantasy of being the monster from an 80's horror movie.
I really enjoyed what I played but the lack of a map absolutely killed it for me since I was constantly getting lost and finding it so hard to navigate, so I walked away from it.

What a fraking masterpiece.
The gameplay is fast, fluid, extremely responsive considering that sometimes you're easily maneuvering a gigantic amorphous alien blob inside tight spaces like air vents and sewer tunnels. The sound design is fantastic and as immersive as it could get and I also absolutely LOVED the pixelated graphic design.
