I see people crapping on new Carhartt all the time, all I can say is I got one 5 years ago and it's still in great shape.
I bought one in 1995, wore it until it was good and frayed, then took it to work to wear outside unloading tankwagons and such, retired it when I retired in 2021. They were made good back then.
