Calumet 18 Year Old Bourbon

Pros

• I did a 3 way blind with GTS, RR15 and C18 and the Calumet beat out RR15 for 2nd. I was shocked.
• I really liked it, top 5. Remember every palate and review is different.
• Overall, this is a fantastic whiskey. Is it going to be my bottle of the year? Not for me. If you love old oak and tannin notes with underlying fruit sweetness, this could be for you.

Cons

• At the nose I was super excited, but it went downhill towards the finish
• Every sentence made this less and less appealing given where my wheelhouse sits.
• Was it good - yes. Was it worth the $400 ~ $500 it's been going for ? Not to me. At that price point the bottle has to do everything right and excel in all areas. I didn't find it doing that for me.
