I live in Busan, which is secondary to Seoul in South Korea. Having lived in Seoul for many years, I chose to move here to Busan upon returning from abroad during the pandemic, and I am so happy with my decision. I now live in a four-bedroom apartment in a semi-luxury apartment complex with great amenities (free health, sauna, and indoor golf, and an indoor swimming pool for 1,000 won per visit), plus I have a great view of the ocean from my living room and master bedroom - all for about US $650 per month, plus another $200 for utilities (gas and electricity) and maintenance fees. Also, Busan is a beautiful city, much less congested than Seoul.
For SK, I would literally just do Seoul and a couple day trips from Seoul. Busan didn’t live up to my expectations, personally…if I was time-constrained and travel-worn, I would cut it.
