Pros

• I like the fact that the central character isn’t that interesting and doesn’t really fit in with that world. ... I find it repays re-reading
• It’s one of my favourites as well!

• Admittedly, the book fell a little flat for me too. Enjoyed the prose and class criticism (also the relationship between sebastian and charles really had me hooked) but didn’t quite understand the hype with the rest of the book
