Breville Dual Boiler

Pros

• It is a great priced machine that delivers strong, consistent results for a reasonable cost of entry compared to the competition.
• Bdb is ridiculously good value in Aus and for most people and most use cases, I don't see a need to spend more than on the df54 which I think is really great.
• The overall combination of performance and convenience for home use is superb for any machine at any price. ... The only downside is that it's kinda big compared to it's competition but it's not huge.
• BDB is also great if you're into potential mods.
• Personally i think the only thing worth getting after the Bambino is a modern dual boiler like the Lelit Elizabeth, Breville Dual Boiler, Silvia Pro X etc.

Cons

• I had a breville dual boiler for years, each time it broke under warranty breville sent me a new machine. I went through three machines in four years, all with the same issue: steaming wouldn’t work after descaling.
• I have one, outside of its (lack of) aesthetics, there is no real reason to upgrade.
• I’m coming from a Breville Dual Boiler. The steam boiler has failed, and instead of repairing it, I’m considering a step up.
• Hi all, i currently own a Breville Dual Boiler together with a Sage smart Grinder.
• I almost bought the dual boiler 2nd hand but after reading about the constant internal leaks and the fact that descaling can ruin the machine I've completely gave up on it. It's not built to last unfortunately
