Bran castle was also amazing, beautiful and piteresque with really interesting history behind it.
You might want to consider splitting up your travel to Brasov and your day at Bran Castle. It's a long-ish train from Bucharest (though quite scenic for the last hour or so of the trip), and delays aren't unheard of. Then buses to Bran aren't super frequent, and the terminal is a little ways from the city centre, so all told you might end up spending 6 or 7 hours just in transit that day with that approach.
